Prepare pipes properly before coating or relining with this Nylon Brush. The nylon bristles are stiff enough to remove dust, loose debris and light scale, but still flexible enough to follow bends without digging into the pipe surface. It’s the kind of tool you run after chain knocking when you want the pipe properly clean before coating.
Using the brush
The Nylon Brush works especially well with systems like Picote Brush Coating, Lining Cannons and Spraypoxy setups, where surface prep actually matters.
- Final pipe preparation before spray coating or lining
- Removing dust and loose material after descaling
- Centering tools inside the pipe
- Reinstating junctions and clearing loose debris
Unlike most brushes that give you one or two choices, this one is available in a wide range of diameters (32mm up to 260mm) and for:
- 6mm (1/4″) shafts
- 8mm (5/16″) shafts
- 10mm (3/8″) shafts
Important note about attachment
The brush uses nylon screws, which are not as strong as steel set screws. Because of that, it’s strongly recommended to use a shaft lock to secure the brush properly. Without it, there’s a risk of the brush slipping or getting left inside the pipe.
Also works for duct cleaning
Even though this is mainly a pipe coating tool, it’s also used in air duct cleaning, where the softer nylon bristles are ideal for removing dust without damaging surfaces.
