Plugs designed for HVAC duct and chimney blocking operations

Pipemade’s FlexPlugs are pressure operated plugs designed for HVAC duct and chimney blocking operations when you need to restrict a part of the duct system for cleaning purposes, or for example when you need to block one side of a branch connection.
These plugs are designed for temporary plugging & flow restriction, not to be used for extended amounts of time under pressure.

Use Temperature: Min. -10°C to max. +60°C

Manufactured in Finland from high quality, hi-flex PVC.

FlexPlug 45 is suitable for ducts/pipes with an internal diameter of 45-60mm
FlexPlug 75 is suitable for ducts/pipes with an internal diameter of 70-105mm

The inflating hose integrated on the FlexPlug is 1650mm in length.

Connector: Schrader® Valve.

Maximum inflation pressure:
- FlexPlug 45: 1,5 bar
- FlexPlug 75: 1,5 bar
- FlexPlug 100: 1,5 bar
- FlexPlug 150: 1 bar

Maximum back pressure:
- FlexPlug 45: 0,5 bar
- FlexPlug 75: 0,5 bar
- FlexPlug 100: 0,5 bar
- FlexPlug 150: 0,5 bar

Long term “holding pressure”:
- FlexPlug 45: max 1.5 bar
- FlexPlug 75: max 1 bar
- FlexPlug 100: max 1 bar
- FlexPlug 150: max 0,5 bar in 150mm pipe, max 0,3 bar in 200mm pipe.

In order to inflate the plug we suggest you utilize a common manual pump or a battery operated tire inflator. The FlexPlug must always be inflated SLOWLY.

Do not exceed the maximum inflating pressure. If you inflate the FlexPlug with a compressor, it is necessary to use a pressure regulator to control the inflation pressure. The inflating device / pump / compressor must always have a pressure gauge for controlling the pressure used to inflate the FlexPlug.

NEVER inflate the FlexPlug into the maximum inflation pressure (1,5 bar) if it is not inside a pipe/duct or other supporting structure. The FlexPlug may overstretch or get damaged if it’s inflated in a free space and left pressurized.
