Circular Chain Knockers

Powerful cleaning & descaling over the full pipe circumference while being gentle to the pipe. No aggressive hits to the pipes, just smooth descaling.

Light Duty Circular Chain Knockers

Circular Light Duty Chain Knockers do not have any kind of hard metal bits and they offer powerful cleaning & descaling over the full pipe circumference while being gentle to the pipe. This minimizes the risk of damaging the pipe's interior, making them an ideal choice for cleaning & descaling tasks in PVC, ABS, PEX, Copper and other fragile pipes especially if you're uncertain of using traditional chain knockers in pipes that are in very poor condition.

The Circular Chains are a little bit bulkier so avoid using them in situations where you have to navigate through tight bends. Ideal in long straight line descaling!

Medium Duty Circular Chain Knockers

Circular Medium Duty Chain Knockers have hardmetal bits offering superior descaling power over the full pipe circumference while being more gentle to the pipe than a normal multi-chained chain knocker. These Chain Knockers are ideal choice for descaling tasks in Cast Iron, Galvanized Steel Pipes, Orangeburg Pipes, Vitrified Clay Pipes (VCP), Terracota/Clay Sewer Pipes and other hard metal pipes especially if the pipes are in very poor condition.

The Circular Chains are a little bit bulkier so avoid using them in situations where you have to navigate through tight bends. Ideal in long straight line descaling!

When you're looking for a circular shaped chain knocker for PVC/ABS or other soft material pipes, the Light Duty Circular Chain Knocker is the one you're looking for. It does not have any kind of aggressive carbide bits that could harm pipe interior.

This chain knocker is an excellent choice in two main situations:
When you have a pipe without any tight bends and/or when you're concerned that the pipe might not withstand any blows from regular chain knockers.

The Circular Chain Knockers does have their weaknesses. They are bulky tools, and they lack the flexibility needed to navigate through tight bends. But they do provide excellent descaling speed and quality since the chains are consistently in touch with the pipe they won't miss a thing to descale.

If the condition of the pipe makes you worried the Circular Chains are a great choice. The circular design of the tool is based on centrifugal force effectively making this chain more gentle on the host pipe than standard multi-chained chain knockers. Most often these tools are used in cleaning & descaling deteriorated pipes where the concern for the condition of the pipe is real. The centrifugal force rotated chains makes for a safer tool for lines in bad condition.

If you are thinking that even Circular Chains are too much, we highly recommend considering the Gentle Duty Brushes.

How does it perform compared to other chain knocker options?

In comparison this Circular option offers the widest descaling surface and great speed while being surprisingly gentle to the host pipe. It is the bulkiest chain of all other options and has the least flexibility to navigate from bends.

  • For more flexibility with a cost of descaling speed we recommend 3-Chained or 2-Chained option.
  • For maximum flexibility, with the cost of descaling surface we recommend considering Mini Chain or the 1-Chained option.

Perfect tool for descaling straight PVC/ABS and other soft material pipes

Like all the other Light Duty Chains, this Circular Chained option does not have any kind of hard metal (carbide) tips like Medium or Heavy Duty Chain Knockers do. This minimizes the risk of damaging the pipe's interior, making them the ideal choice for cleaning & descaling tasks in PVC, ABS, PEX, Copper and other fragile/soft pipes. It is also called as a "plain chain knocker".

Light Duty Chains are also a great option when a pipe made from tougher material is in considerably rough condition (cracks etc) and you don't want to take any risks. So, if you want you can also use these chains in Cast Iron pipes as well.

Medium Duty Circular Chain Knocker is circular shaped effective descaling chain knocker that is equipped with small bits all around the chain. Even being Medium Duty Chain, it has wedge shaped bits instead of the X-shaped bits usually seen in Medium Duty Chains.

There are two main situations where the Circular Chains are a great choice: When you have a pipe without any tight bends and/or when you're concerned that the pipe might not withstand any blows from regular chain knockers.

Circular Chain Knockers are bulky tools, and they lack the flexibility needed to navigate through tight bends. This is their weakness. But they provide excellent descaling speed and quality since they have so many hard metal bits all around and the chain is consistently in touch with the pipe. When descaling long straight line, these are your best friends.

If you are thinking that even Circular Chains (even Light Duty) are too much, we highly recommend considering the Gentle Duty Brushes.

Medium Duty Chains are suitable for hard metal pipes like Cast Iron, Galvanized Steel Pipes, Orangeburg Pipes, Vitrified Clay Pipes (VCP), Terracotta/Clay Sewer Pipes and other hard material pipes. While we recommend this chain knocker for these kinds of hard metal pipes, please always check that the overall condition of the pipe to avoid using too aggressive chain to the task. If you are unsure if the pipe will withstand the descaling power, please choose more gentle option like Light Duty Chain Knocker or Gentle Duty Brush.

Do not use the Medium Duty Chain Knockers for PVC or other soft material pipes since the aggressive X-tip might eat it up in a matter of seconds. For PVC and other soft pipes we recommend going with Light Duty or Gentle Duty options. Some experienced professionals may find Heavy Duty Chains suitable for the most challenging tasks in PVC, but caution is advised to avoid potential damage. Remember, always assess the condition of the pipes to ensure the tool's power aligns with the task at hand to avoid overtaxing the pipe system.

Available in following sizes:

A great chain knocker for straight lines

Pipemade's Circular Chain Knockers offer a gentler approach to drain cleaning and descaling compared to traditional chain knockers. There are two duty levels of circular chain knockers.

  1. Light Duty models, that do not have any kind of hard metal bits and makes it a great choice for PVC, ABS, PEX, Copper and other soft material pipes.

  2. Heavy Duty models, that have hardmetal bits in it packing some serious descaling power. This makes it a great choice in Cast Iron, Galvanized Steel Pipes, Orangeburg Pipes, Vitrified Clay Pipes (VCP), Terracota/Clay Sewer Pipes and other hard metal pipes.

We highly recommend using these chain in tasks that do not involve a lot of tight bends. These chain knockers are a little bit bulkier so they lack the flexibility of the traditional chain knockers.

These circular chain knockers ensures a cleaning process that hurls less aggressive hits on pipes, making them perfect for sensitive plumbing tasks. Their circular design distributes force evenly, providing effective cleaning without the harsh impacts typical of straight chain knockers. Choose from Light or Medium Duty models to match the specific demands of your project with precision and care.

Perfect for professionals seeking efficient and safe pipe maintenance solutions.
